Adding Consumers

• You have installed and started Kong Gateway, either through the Docker quickstart or a more .
• You have configured a Service

Lets create a user named by issuing the following request:

You should see a response similar to the one below:

Note: Kong also accepts a parameter when to associate a consumer with your existing user database.

Now, we can create a key for our recently created consumer by issuing the following request:
