HTTP API

    EMQX Broker’s HTTP API service listens on port 8081 by default. You can modify the listening port through the configuration file of , or enable HTTPS listening. All API calls start with api/v4 after EMQX Broker 4.0.0 (opens new window).

    EMQX Broker’s HTTP API uses the method of Basic Authentication HTTP API - 图2 (opens new window). The id and password must be filled with AppID and AppSecret respectively. The default AppID and AppSecret are: admin/public. You can modify and add AppID / AppSecret in the left menu bar of Dashboard by selecting “Manage”-> “Apps”.

    The EMQX Broker interface always returns 200 OK when the call is successful, and the response content is returned in JSON format.

    The possible status codes are as follows:

    Health check

    GET /status

    Serves as a health check for the node. Returns a plain text response describing the status of the node. This endpoint requires no authentication.

    Returns status code 200 if the EMQX application is up and running, 503 otherwise.

    Return basic information of all nodes in the cluster.

    Note: After 4.1, the contents of the returned meta were modified:

    • count:It still represents the total number. However, in multi-condition/fuzzy query, it is fixed at -1.

    Resource

    Manage the resources of the rules engine. A resource is an instance of a resource type and is used to maintain related resources such as database connections.

    GET api/v4/resources/{resource_id}

    Gets the details of the specified resource.

    Path Parameters:
